My Story

Coach Roger Chaidez grew up playing club soccer in the Walnut area under various clubs. Chaidez is no stranger to challenge as he made his UPSL debut at the age of 15 where he proved his skillset and physicality could keep up at the next level showing glimpses of what would come. Coach Chaidez played 3 years for Walnut High School soccer before ultimately making the leap to continue his playing career at Rio Hondo College where he would find himself battling for the starting right-back spot as a Freshman. After playing just one year at Rio Hondo, Chaidez’ performances earned him a move to play at the University of La Verne where he would finish out his playing career. Coach Chaidez 'background and playing history earned him an opportunity to work at Basset High School as an assistant coach. Today, Coach Roger Chaidez is establishing himself as a trainer in the area as he prepares the next generation of players to continue their playing careers beyond club and high school.
